Gold coins are usually issued in the industry-standard weight of a troy ounce, but Australia's Perth mint regularly release two ounce gold coins. Both the trademark Gold Nugget, and the Perth Mint's Lunar coins regularly see 2 ounce variations of the standard bullion coin.

By making these coins with two ounces of gold instead of one, mints can improve the production efficiency, and reduce premiums slightly.
