The 2023 Britannia quarter ounce gold coin, made of 24 carat gold (999.9 fineness).

BullionByPost is an official partner to The Royal Mint and we source all of our new 2023 1/4oz gold Britannia coins directly from their refinery in Llantrisant, Wales.

The obverse of this coin uses the final portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, and will be a limited mintage for the remainder of 2022. A new range of King Charles III Britannia coins will then be released in the new year.

The reverse uses the updated Nathan design of Lady Britannia, with advanced security features introduced by the mint in 2021, making the 2023 1/4oz gold Britannia one of the most secure coins in the world.

The Britannia bullion coin contains a quarter of a troy ounce (7.775 grams) of fine gold and has a face value of £25.

Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the European Union under €1,500 will be sent with Colissimo, in collaboration with national postal services across Europe. Orders greater than €1,500 (up to €40,000) will be sent by FedEx.

All orders of any size or value up to €40,000 are sent with free, insured delivery, with a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders worth more than €40,000 will be dispatched in separate parcels on consecutive days.
