A 2021 one ounce silver Kangaroo from the Perth Mint.
The coin features an image of a red Kangaroo, national symbol of Australia, on the reverse side along with the coin's weight, purity, and year. The Perth Mint mintmark 'P' is visible near the kangaroo's tail and an additional micro-engraved letter 'A', only visible under magnification, is also hidden in the design.
The obverse side bears Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II - the fourth such portrait of the Queen used for coins. The image shows Her Majesty wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, as well as Queen Mary button stud pearl earrings. The Royal Mint issued coins using this image up until 2014, but it is still a popular choice across the Commonwealth nations. The text reads 'QUEEN ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA', '1 DOLLAR'.
