The coin is dated 2023 to coincide with the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, the design features the 2 lovable droids who have made more appearances in the Star Wars franchise than any other characters. A special ‘lenticular feature’, depicting Tatooine and the Rebel Alliance Starbird can be seen when the coin is viewed from a different angle.
The R2-D2 and C-3PO 1/50p Silver Proof Coin is the first of four coins dedicated to iconic duos from the Star Wars franchise. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this coin is a must-have for both Star Wars enthusiasts and collectors. It comes in an official Royal Mint presentation box with an informative booklet.
It is minted in 925 sterling silver with a weight of 8 grams and a pure silver content of 7.4g. Only 12,500 of these proof coins are being produced worldwide making it a prized addition to any Star Wars collection.
Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the European Union under €1,500 will be sent with Colissimo, in collaboration with national postal services across Europe. Orders greater than €1,500 (up to €40,000) will be sent by FedEx.
