Payment Options


Here at BullionByPost, we offer a wide range of payment options for your convenience. Place your order online and pay for your bullion using one of our three payment methods as follows:

1. Debit Card or Credit Card

Pay online instantly with Bank Cards up to the value of €20,000. We accept payment by Visa Debit,
Visa Electron, Maestro and MasterCard Debit as well as all Visa and MasterCard Credit Cards.

Payments from your card will be taken in Euros so if your bank account is denominated in another
currency you may incur additional bank charges.

2. Bank Transfer

Pay by Internet or telephone bank transfer up to €50,000. Once you confirm your order, you
will receive a confirmation email with your order number and our payment details so you can
complete the transaction. Pay immediately by bank transfer quoting your order number. If
you do not make payment by the end of the next working day, your order may be cancelled.
If we receive your funds by Midday, your order will be dispatched the same day.

Customer notice: Our bank account is Euro denominated so if you initiate your payment in
another currency you may incur additional bank charges.

At BullionByPost we primarily bank with Barclays, but customers in the European Union also
have the option to pay transfers in to our LCL account in Paris. Payments process at a slightly
slower pace, but with a reduced transaction fee with your bank.


3. Apple Pay

Pay for your order via the Apple Pay system. Customers placing their orders on a supported Apple
device (iPhone, iPad, Mac etc) can now select the Apple Pay option at checkout. Payments via
Apple Pay will be limited to a maximum of €5,000.

We accept online payments with bank cards up to €10,000. Please note this limit may change at our discretion.

Ideally, yes. Our bank account is Euro denominated, so if you initiate your payment in another currency you may incur additional bank charges. Under no circumstances will we be liable for any charges incurred.

Payments made by bank transfer, debit card or credit card may require further ID. This is to fulfill our insurance criteria of knowing where our customer resides, so that your goods are covered when we dispatch them.

As of the 1st January 2000, investment gold is not subject to VAT throughout the EU.

Silver, platinum and palladium are subject to VAT at the current standard rate for your country.

Selecting your country for delivery will automatically apply the correct VAT rate set by your government.

Please note: Customers ordering from countries outside of the EU will not be able to see VAT listed at the product level, but there may be VAT or other duties payable on your order. Please consult your local customs authority if you are unsure.

3D authentication / 3D secure is managed by Visa (Verified by Visa) and Mastercard (Mastercard Securecode) themselves. It is a worldwide security program that many banks and building societies opt into. Given the nature of our products, we have to ensure the highest level of security available and therefore can only accept card payments that go through this additional security process.

If you look at the ‘from’ price, this shows the lowest available price depending on the quantity you are purchasing. In order to see the various prices listed by quantity, please click on the item itself to take you to the next screen.

The global spot price for gold is based on inter-bank transfers of large numbers of London Good Delivery Bars which are 12.5 kilograms each. This price is only available to large banks and does not include any brokerage fees, transportation, storage or insurance.

Smaller bars are always sold at a premium to the London spot price to reflect the additional costs of producing and testing smaller bars. Our premiums are extremely competitive and are lowest on our larger bars.

You will receive an email from us to confirm receipt of funds. A follow-up email will be sent at a later time to confirm that your order has been taken away either by the Royal Mail or FedEx.

Parcels are dispatched from our new distribution centre in Paris, France, therefore there will be no duties or taxes for parcels being delivered in countries that are part of the EU. Visit our dedicated page about Ordering Outside the EU for more information about taxes and duties.
