The Harry Potter book series has sold over 500 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling book series of all time. The first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was written by J.K. Rowling and published by Bloomsbury in 1997.
The reverse of this Harry Potter coin features a design by Jim Kay, and shows the titular character. The obverse of the coin features Jody Clark's Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, making this one of the final coins to depict Her Majesty.
This Proof 1 ounce (31.1g) coin is struck in fine silver (999) and weighs a total of 31.21g. It is presented in a handsome presentation box and comes with a certificate of authenticity and full colour booklet.
