The two pound gold coin, sometimes referred to as a Double Sovereign, contains 14.63 grams of gold (twice the weight of a Sovereign). This 22 carat gold coin comes with box and certificate.
Due to their status as British Legal tender they are Capital Gains Tax Free (CGT Exempt), so they are a good choice for British investors.
The front of the coin features the third portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael Maklouf, while the back of the coin supports the traditional St George and the dragon design, created in 1817 by Benedetto Pistrucci. Only 476 of these sets were ever issued.
