Small Krugerrands
Krugerrand gold coins and other older South African coins are a favourite with investment portfolios due to the high gold value and collectibility factor. Below we have a range of fractional Krugerrands, smaller than 1 ounce, as well as older Rand coins.
These coins are all 22-carat and minted in South Africa; one of the most prolific gold mining nations in the last 150 years.
Small Krugerrand Coin
Like many other mints producing bullion coins, the South African Mint produce a small version of the Krugerrand coin for investors who do not wish to purchase the full-sized coin. The small Krugerrand coin range includes 1/2oz, 1/4oz and 1/10oz Krugerrands though we also include the older Rand coins, a spiritual predecessor to the later bullion coin.
The small Krugerrand coins tend to be purchased by investors looking for more flexibility in their portfolio, or those on a budget. The 1/4oz and 1/10oz coins are also a popular choice for gifting.
