Description

A limited edition 2019 Silver Britannia One Ounce Silver coin with an 'Oriental Border'.

The Royal Mint have released a new limited version of the 2019 Britannia. The design of the 1oz silver coin varies from the usual Britannia with the addition of an 'Oriental Border', inspired by the Chinese-themed rooms at Buckingham Palace and the Royal Pavilion in Brighton.

Only 100,000 coins will be minted, to commemorate the Royal Mint's business expansion into Asia.

The reverse of the coin features the Oriental Border around the edge of the coin, along with the Philip Nathan 1987 image of Britannia, while the obverse side bears the fifth generation image of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, with an additional guilloche pattern as an extra design feature.
