A 2020 gold Proof fifty pence piece featuring the Iguanodon, as part of The Royal Mint's Dinosauria collection.
The Iguanodon was a large herbivorous dinosaur from the late Jurassic period, about 120 million years ago. The Proof coin is part of a series recognising British dinosaur discoveries. The reverse is designed by Robert Nichols and the obverse is the classic image of Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
This Proof fifty pence coin weighs 15.5 grams, and is struck from 22 carat gold. The coin is beautifully presented in its original box, which comes with a certificate of authenticity and very informative full colour booklet.
