Designed by Charis Tsevis, the coin features a mosaic artwork of a Team GB athlete and a ParalympicsGB athlete side by side against the backdrop of the Union flag. This special edition coin commemorates the UK's enduring legacy in both the Olympic and Paralympic movements, dating back to the 1896 Olympic Games and the 1948 Stoke Mandeville Games.
Produced in partnership with Team GB and ParalympicsGB, the 2024 Team GB proof fifty pence gold coin is an official tribute to the athletes' ongoing achievements and their inspirational impact on sports fans worldwide. It contains 15.5 grams of 22 carat gold minted to a proof finish and comes in a beautiful Royal Mint box accompanied by an informative booklet detailing the Games and British teams. Production of this 2024 Team Great Britain gold proof 50p has been limited to 150 presentation coins.
Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the European Union under €1,500 will be sent with Colissimo, in collaboration with national postal services across Europe. Orders greater than €1,500 (up to €40,000) will be sent by FedEx.
All orders of any size or value up to €40,000 are sent with free, insured delivery, with a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders worth more than €40,000 will be dispatched in separate parcels on consecutive days.
