Description

The Quarter Sovereign is the smallest modern British legal tender gold coin. It contains 1.83 grams of gold and this 2009 version features the traditional George and the Dragon design on the obverse of the coin.

This proof has been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity. Complete with its own booklet/Certificate of Authenticity. This Gold Sovereign is bound in a good looking case as shown.
