The 2023 The Police 1oz gold proof coin commemorates 40 years since the release of the seminal Synchronicity album. It continues the ongoing Music Legends series from The Royal Mint.
The Police is an iconic band from the late 1970s, blending rock, reggae, and punk influences. With Sting's distinctive vocals, Andy's guitar work, and Stewart's drumming, they achieved international fame and became pioneers of new wave music, leaving a lasting impact on the industry.
The coin contains exactly 1 troy ounce of 999.9 pure gold and is struck to proof quality, which means they have a polished finish and frosted design elements, creating a stunning contrast that enhances the overall aesthetic appeal.
