2022 1oz American Eagle Silver Coin

Brand new 2022 1oz American Eagle silver coin from the US Mint.

The silver Eagle is the official bullion coin of the United States with a face value of $1. On the front of the coin is the Lady Liberty design by Adolph Alexander Weinman, an American sculptor. Here the lady is wearing an American flag while the sun rises behind her, with the word LIBERTY emblazoned along the top of the coin. Beside her is the phrase ‘In God We Trust’ and at the base of the coin is the year’s date – 2022.

The reverse of the coin is the new Type II design is by artist Emily Damstra, it features an American bald eagle swooping into view with its wings raised behind its back and a large oak branch in its talons. The text includes the traditional Latin ‘E Pluribus Unum’ which means ‘Out of Many, One’.
