The Australian Silver Koala series is a collection of silver bullion coins that have been minted by the Perth Mint since 2007. These coins have become increasingly popular with collectors due to their beautiful designs that showcase the wildlife of Australia.
Each year, the Perth Mint releases a new design featuring a depiction of a koala, the 2023 release of the Silver Koala marks the 17th in the series and is the last coin to feature Queen Elizabeth II's effigy.
The reverse of the 2023 1 oz Silver Koala coin features a design of a mother koala and its young joey perched on the trunk of a gum tree. The intricate details in the design capture the essence of these adorable creatures, from the fur on their ears to the texture of the tree bark. The design is the work of artist Ing Ing Jong, who has created several of the previous designs in the series.
On the obverse side of the coin, you will find Queen Elizabeth II's effigy, created by Jody Clark, depicting the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem.
Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the European Union under €1,500 will be sent with Colissimo, in collaboration with national postal services across Europe. Orders greater than €1,500 (up to €40,000) will be sent by FedEx.
All orders of any size or value up to €40,000 are sent with free, insured delivery, with a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders worth more than €40,000 will be dispatched in separate parcels on consecutive days.
