The 2023 Yale of Beaufort 1oz gold coin is the second bullion release in the Royal Tudor Beasts Collection from The Royal Mint. Like the Queen's Beasts series, the collection will feature 10 'Beasts', this time consisting of statues that line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court.
A 'Yale' is a mythical beast found in European mythology and the imagery was used by the Beaufort family during the fifteenth century. The black-coloured Yale (aka Centicore) has long and flexible horns, which can be moved independently of each other. It is the size of a horse with an elephant's tail. The Yale symbolises a proud defence.
The 2023 Tudor Yale 10oz silver coin is 99.99% pure, and the size allows for the design to be seen in incredible detail. As with other coins from The Royal Mint, it is considered legal tender and is therefore exempt from Capital Gains Tax. The coin will be in production for several months until the next coin in the series is released, so collectors should purchase as soon as possible if they wish to get all coins in the series.
Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the European Union under €1,500 will be sent with Colissimo, in collaboration with national postal services across Europe. Orders greater than €1,500 (up to €40,000) will be sent by FedEx.
All orders of any size or value up to €40,000 are sent with free, insured delivery, with a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders worth more than €40,000 will be dispatched in separate parcels on consecutive days.
