This interesting coin is the latest design in the ongoing series of Star Wars coins, this time featuring Grogu the young jedi from the same mysterious species as master Yoda and hence often called 'Baby Yoda'.
This stunning one ounce silver coin contains 31.1 grams of 999 purity fine silver. The reverse features Grogu about to tuck into a rather active looking bowl of tenticle soup. Grogu first appeared in The Mandalorian TV series where for the first 12 episodes he was simply known as 'the child' which is perhaps the reason he became known as baby Yoda. Like Yoda Grogu has a powerful ability with the force, in the series the Mandalorian is hired to capture Grogu for the a remnant of the old Galactic Empire, but instead, he becomes his adoptive father and protects him from the imperial forces.
The coin's obverse shows the Coat of Arms of the Pacific island of Niue as well as the year and the coin's 2 Niue Dollar face value.
This is an officially licensed product and the coin has been stamped with the Lucasfilm copyright.
