Description

The 2025 Queen's Panther 2oz silver coin is the sixth bullion release in the Royal Tudor Beasts Collection from The Royal Mint. The collection features the 10 'Beasts' statues that line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court and which represent the families of the King's line.

Designed by David Lawrence, the reverse side of the coin features the Queen's Panther bestowed to Jane Seymour by King Henry VIII, and shows the beast holding a shield with their combined (impaled) Arms. This design is not only for visual appeal but also has enhanced security features as a protection against counterfeiting. The obverse side of the coin presents the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings.

The 2025 Queen's Panther 2oz silver coin contains exactly two troy ounces (62.2 grams) of pure 999.9 silver. As with other coins from The Royal Mint, it is considered legal tender, having a face value of £5, so is therefore exempt from Capital Gains Tax. The coin will be in production for a few months until the next coin in the series is released, so collectors should purchase as soon as possible in order to get all the coins of the series.
