The 2023 JRR Tolkien £2 silver proof piedfort coin is a beautiful collectible coin that celebrates the legendary creator of Middle-Earth, and some of the greatest fantasy novels every written. The coin marks 50 year since his death.

The 2023 Tolkien piedfort £2 coin is struck in 925 silver with a proof finish, giving it a beautiful mirror-like surface and a frosted design. The outer rim of the coin is plated in gold for an attractive two-tone effect with the text ‘NOT ALL THOSE WHO WANDER ARE LOST’ inscribed around the edge. The reverse features the 'JRRT' monogram Tolkien used as a distinctive signature on his books, letters, and other documents.

J.R.R. Tolkien was a British writer, philologist, and academic renowned for his imaginative and immersive fantasy works. His most famous creations include The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
