The 2022 Hogwarts Express silver Proof fifty pence coin from The Royal Mint's Harry Potter series. This series celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the publication of the first book. This is the second of four coins in this series.
The Harry Potter book series has sold over 500 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling book series of all time. The first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was written by J.K. Rowling and published by Bloomsbury in 1997.
The reverse of this coin features a design by Jim Kay,and shows the Hogwarts Express, the train all Hogwarts students take to reach the magical school. The obverse of the coin features Jody Clark's Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, making this one of the final coins to depict Her Majesty.
This Proof fifty pence coin is struck in sterling silver (.925) and weighs a total of 8g. It is presented in a handsome presentation box and comes with a certificate of authenticity and full colour booklet.
