The 2022 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Piedfort Proof silver 50p coin is one of several coins issued by The Royal Mint to honour the life and service of the late queen.
As with all coins in the range, the obverse (front) of the coin features Martin Jenning's portrait of King Charles III for the first time, making it a historic release. The reverse features a design created for the 1953 coronation crown designed by herald painter Edgar Fuller and modelled by Cecil Thomas.
This Proof fifty pence coin is struck in sterling silver (925) and weighs a total of 16g as a Piedfort (Double Thickness) coin. It is presented in a handsome presentation box and comes with a certificate of authenticity and full colour booklet.
Please note - The Royal Mint has advised that these products are not likely to be available for delivery until late December at the earliest, but they will be available to purchase from 9am (BST) on Monday 3rd October.
Following the changes to international shipping after Brexit, orders to the European Union under €1,500 will be sent with Colissimo, in collaboration with national postal services across Europe. Orders greater than €1,500 (up to €40,000) will be sent by FedEx.
All orders of any size or value up to €40,000 are sent with free, insured delivery, with a 25kg weight limit per parcel. Orders worth more than €40,000 will be dispatched in separate parcels on consecutive days.
