The 1oz Tudor Beasts Seymour Unicorn Proof silver coin is a part of The Royal Tudor Beasts Collection that pays tribute to the stone sculptures on the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace, which were commissioned by Henry VIII almost 500 years ago. The Seymour Unicorn is the ffifth coin in the collection and symbolizes strength, power, and wealth.
The 2024 Seymour Unicorn Proof 2-coin silver set features 2 x 1oz silver coins minted in 999 fine silver. Both bear the same design, created by collection artist David Lawrence, of a unicorn holding a shield which is based on the stone sculpture at Hampton Court Palace. They come as a beautiful complimentary set where one coin has a proof mirrored finish and the other a 'reverse frosted finish'. Both coins feature an edge inscription that reads "HAMPTON COURT PALACE ∙ ROYAL TUDOR BEASTS" and the set comes with a booklet that explores the origin and significance of the Seymour Unicorn emblem. These coins are the first in this collection to feature the new official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III.
This silver set has a limited production run of only 750 and is a unique and valuable addition to any collection as a symbol of the rich family history of the British Royal Family.
