This is the Malaysian 500 Ringgit Cipan Gold Coin (aka the 'Tapir'). It was originally produced as part of the World Wildlife Fund and the IUCNNR worldwide series of conservation coins. Only 508 of these coins were ever produced and it seems to be a very desirable coin in Malaysia, as it is quite hard to find one of these coins. The coin we have is the one detailed in the images.
The Coin is .900 fineness and contains just over 30 grams of fine gold.
